Radiant Barrier: -
An aluminium film will be placed between the roof tiles and the structure of the roof. This film shall be made of synthetic structure (not paper based) to resist high moisture environment. Its reflective face will be placed up both side and will be of pure aluminium (not metallised) for a radiation reflection higher than 95%.
On Open Structures: -
Radiant barrierwill fixed between the rafters and the battens. Ideally a counter-batten solution should be implemented.
On concrete decks: -
Radiant barrierwill be located between the concrete deck and the roof tiles. It will be maintained by the weight of the roof tiles.
Water-proofing: -
For an extra waterproofing protection with radiant barriers, the rolls will be laid horizontally, from bottom to top. An overlapping of minimum 20cm should be respected and rolls should be solidarized together with specific aluminium tapes.

Our Oceanic Foil Pack Metalized Woven Metalized Fabric are mainly used under roof decking, under attic rafters, over existing attic insulation, in floors, walls and crawl spaces, and in industrial and commercial buildings to block radiant heat coming into house through the roof during the summer and retain indoor heat generated during the winter. Also used as a moisture vapor barrier in air conditioning ductworks and cold rooms. It is used as packing material for big machine to prevent moisture and radiant heat to contact machine.
